It does make me thing that there aren’t enough towns named after birds. Where are you Skipton Parrot? Why can’t we moor up at Long Cassowary or Lower Ostrich? What happened to Nether Vulture and Cuckoo-on-Sea? What sort of parties would they have in Bishop’s Pipit, or Chippington Spoonbill? Do you know the way to Coot’s Buggery?
