Sharks!
I considered spelling SharkZ with a Z to make them sound more bitey, but spelling won out.
We went snorkeling off the beach yesterday, and that was good but we were looking for something more adventurous, so I asked about snorkel trips at the local dive shop. They said we could come along on their dive boat today, as they were going to some locations where there was good snorkeling as well as scuba.
The first stop was by a nice coral reef, so we were able to hop off the boat and start sightseeing while the divers were still getting their gear on. Paula and I are both certified to dive, but we prefer snorkeling. There is a lot less gear to deal with and there are lots of beautiful and interesting sea life near the surface.

We’ve been seeing more Hawksbill Turtles off Grand Bahama lately as well. This is good news, as they are considered to be the most beautiful sea turtle, and are a critically endangered species.
As my dad would say, “Just a load of fish.”
The second spot was a shark dive. The local Caribbean Reef Sharks are fed regularly here, so when a boat turns up they all gather round.
After everyone was back on the boat, it was time to throw in some food.
This is Paula’s look of triumph after initiating a feeding frenzy.
