Cows Overhead
It was cold and moist this morning, so we got off to a late start. The canal was quite busy, and we had to wait at some of the locks for one or two boats to go through ahead of us. Though it takes longer that way, there are plenty of people around to work the paddles and the gates, so it makes the work easier, and when there is a boat coming the other way you don’t even have to close the gate after you.
One of the bridges had some interesting users.
These cows, when there were not gongoozling, were sharing a field with a herd of sheep. We considered the possibility of cross breeding, and decided that if you cross a ram with a cow you get a row, and if you cross a bull with a sheep you get a beep.
We moored up for the night in Stone, half way up the eight locks that it takes to get through town. Looks like another late start tomorrow as we have to get groceries.
