You get a tan from standing in the English rain
It’s raining on and off today, so we are staying put for the day, unpacking, and settling in. Here’s the inside of our little floating home. Entering from the bow, we have the living room and galley.
The living room has a wood burning stove, and a futon for visitors.
There’s a fold up table for dining.
The galley has a new propane stove and fridge.
Aft of the galley is the head which is pretty cramped apart from a spacious shower.
Then along a corridor you have to walk through sideways past a small closet to our cosy bedroom.
And finally the scary stuff in the engine room.
Meanwhile, outside…
Yesterday afternoon this guy came by out window to beg for handouts.
I tried some bread and it was warmly received. However, I know you are not supposed to feed bread to wild animals, so I tried some lettuce. It was ignored. OK, if future it’s back to carb loading waterfowl.
Wildflowers along the towpath.
The hawthorn is in bloom giving bursts of white blossom in the hedgerows along the cut.
